Today was a beautiful day to start the season. Temps in the 70’s, sunny skies and a pristine field. The Fury took on the Lemon Sticks at Bachman Sports complex. The Lemon Sticks started off their season holding the Fury scoreless in the first inning. Their large cheering section was excited to watch the new players take the field and start off well. The Fury came back in the second inning with 4 runs and the Lemon Sticks added two of their own in the bottom of the 2nd. The final score was Fury 13 Lemon Sticks 3. Next game is tomorrow at McLean high school 11 am.

WJZ (CBS Baltimore) news reporter Janae Reece came out to one of our league wide practices at B.A.S.E.S to discover more about the ways the EWBC is helping girls and women to play baseball, the sport they love.

We were able to get the message out to women across the Baltimore area that we believe in “women, having access to baseball to play the game that they love.”

We are excitedly looking forward the start of the 2025 season. Indoor practices will begin in March and games are scheduled to begin at the beginning of May. If you are on a team already, be on the look out for an email from your manager. If you are new to the league and looking for a team or need more information please fill out our interest form.
